Heron Hill wine promotion to benefit Seneca White Deer, Inc.

Heron Hill Winery will again partner with Seneca White Deer, Inc., on a special promotion featuring its Game Bird Series of wines through November and December.

During this time, Heron Hill will donate $2 for every bottle or $24 for every case of Game Bird wine purchased in any of their three tasting rooms, or online. The series includes an off-dry red, white, and a sweet blush wine.

According to Heron Hill owner John Ingle, the former Seneca Depot not only contains the world’s largest herd of white, whitetail deer, but it also is 7,000 acres of open space — the largest contiguous land parcel remaining in the Finger Lakes region.

The State’s Open Space Plan selected the Depot as one of more than 100 desired locations to qualify for possible funding through the Environmental Protection Fund. If funded, the Department of Environmental Conservation and/or the State’s Department of Parks & Recreation could take over conservation efforts at the Depot.

The promotion continues through January 1, 2015, and wine is available at www.heronhill.com/shopwine, at Heron Hill Winery at 9301 County Rt. 76 in Hammondsport, and at Heron Hill’s two other tasting rooms at 3586 Rt. 14 in Himrod, and 5323 Seneca Point Road in Canandaigua.
