2008 Ingle Vineyard Chardonnay Unoaked
|
Wine Characteristics Sustainably farmed, grapes were selected from the Ingle Vineyard plots named “Carl & Vern’s Blocks”. These plots are cooler and have a mineral laden, rocky soil. Pure and firmly structured with aromas of crushed granite, lemongrass, and green apple skins. It has balance and finesse finishing with lingering essences of fresh fruit. Comparable to a warm year Chablis.
Food Pairings A natural with seafood including, oysters, clams and flaky white fish (like orange roughy). This wine will also compliment a lobster risotto and English peas with asparagus dish. The acidity in the wine works well with mild vinegars such as sherry or rice vinegar. Pair it with a spring salad with chevre and caramelized bell pepper vinegar dressing.
