Heron Hill's Winemaker, Bernard Cannac, will be hosting a 5-course winemaker's dinner at the wonderful Lento Restaurant in Rochester, NY on May 13, 2010 in honor of Riesling Rocks month! Bernard will be on hand to answer any questions to further enrich the dining experience. The cost is $65 per person not including tax and gratuity.
Guests are free to arrive between 5:30pm til close, reservations are strongly recommended. Each dish will be specially crafted to pair with a Riesling from Heron Hill.
THE MENU
First course
Grilled Louisiana Prawn over a rich romesco sauce
Paired with Semi-Sweet Riesling
Second course
Raindance harvest baby greens with house made goats feta and house cured olives
Paired with Semi-Dry Riesling
Third course
Smoked seafood sausage over a light dill latke and micro greens
Paired with Ingle Vineyard Riesling
Fourth course
Curried mussel, clam, and scallop stew with braised leeks and Sardinian cous cous
Paired with Reserve Old Vines Riesling
Fifth course
Warm honey, orange and almond cake with lavender scented whipped cream
Paired with Ingle Vineyard Late Harvest Riesling
