Heron Hill Plans Harvest Celebration at Ingle Vineyard
October 2, 2012 (Canandaigua, NY) – Spend the afternoon relaxing at Heron Hill’s Tasting Room at Bristol on Saturday, October 13 from 11 AM to 5 PM for the Harvest Celebration at Ingle Vineyard. This family-friendly event will kick-off with live music by Tommy Gravino from 11 AM to 1PM, followed by the porch-punk sounds of regional favorites The Prickers playing from 1 PM to 4 PM. Apple-pressing demonstrations and kids’ activities will take place throughout the day. There is no entrance fee for music and activities. Freshly made wood fired pizza will be available for purchase, NYS cheese and crackers, along with a full selection of Heron Hill wines by the bottle or glass.
“The Tasting Room at Bristol is well worth a visit,“ says Christina Bowe, Tasting Room Manager for Heron Hill’s Bristol location. “This charming barn is the former site of the South Bristol Cultural Center…and visitors can see part of our Ingle Vineyard Estate vineyards with a glimpse of Canandaigua Lake in the background.” This year marks Heron Hill Winery’s 35th Anniversary. Founded in 1977, some of Heron Hill’s first plantings of Chardonnay and Riesling took root at the Ingle Vineyard site. Today, the Ingle Vineyard series of wines include limited production single-vineyard varieties like Riesling, Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc and Pinot Noir. All of the Ingle Vineyard wines are sustainably farmed, hand-harvested and crafted with great pride and passion. The tasting room and gift shop will remain open for visitors to sample new releases as part of Heron Hill’s premium wine tasting option for $5. Everyone is encouraged to bring a chair or blanket and spend the afternoon enjoying the lawn and sounds of live music.
The Tasting Room at Bristol is located in Canandaigua, NY at 5323 Seneca Point Road near Bristol Harbour Resort. Outside food and beverage will not be permitted. The Harvest Celebration will happen rain or shine. For more information, call 585-394-0173 or visit www.heronhill.com.
