Game Bird Red
Semi-dry, medium-bodied red with a brilliant ruby color. The Game Bird Red is mellow red wine with notes of ripe cherry and blackberry, with an essence of herbs. It's produced with a blend of Marechal Foch and Vidal Blanc with a touch of Cabernet Franc. .
Game Bird Red is a perfect pairing for any pasta dish, especially Grandma’s homemade lasagna. Tomato Basil pizzas really bring out the soft berry qualities from the Foch and Cabernet Franc blend. Also delightful for an afternoon BBQ, especially a beer can chicken. Share the Game Bird Series and a Savory Duck Marinade & Serving Sauce recipe by Heron Hill Winery owners, John & Jo Ingle.

Although I live a long way off in Virginia my wife and I have visited the Finger Lakes a number of times and always look forward to visiting Heron Hill. Game Bird Red is one of my all time favorites and the last time we were there I bought a case. It is an excellent wine for the money. We plan to visit this year to celebrate our 54 th wedding anniversary!

My husband and I visited the Finger Lakes this past summer and were treated to a supreme tasting experience at this Winery. I love this red wine. It is so smooth and not acidic at all. The screw on top makes it easy to seal back up and make it last a few days. Great value!

I usually prefer drier reds, but this one knocks my socks off! Heron Hill will be on our permanent list visit during our annual trip to the area.

Found this red table wine at a local shop in Middletown, NY for our use with dinner that evening. It is amazingly outstanding and has become our favorite red. Heron Hill has a winner here and now we do too!

I stumbled upon this amazing winery on our way home from attending the garlic festival. I just happened to stop at this winery randomly to see what they had to offer. I’m glad I decided to stop because I was introduced to this amazing bottle of wine. I’ll just describe this wine as beautiful. From the smell, to the taste, to the swallow. Absolutely beautiful. Thank you very much Herron Hill for producing such a wonderful wine. I’ll be ordering another case soon since the last case I ordered is running low.

My favorite wine- I would cry if they ever discontinued it! Its a little sweet but not too much and has such a deep scent and flavor, to me of cherry and berry. Nice and smooth. My go- to wine year round.
