11 Rows Block- the 11 rows is the smallest block of Riesling at Ingle Vineyard. It is said these are the most delicious fruit in Ingle Vineyard. This fruit is grown on Ovid Silt Loam and was planted in 1989. Just over 30 years being on some of the denser soils of Ingle Vineyard, it is more about exotic fruit, ripe and lush. 11 rows Riesling shows the most ripeness and supple mouthfeel. Aromatics of honey, pineapple, and beeswax are combined with peach, nectarine, and persimmon. The palate is inviting with great acidity and tons of fruit.

91 Robert Parker's Wine Advocate - Riesling 11 Rows 2020 – 91 Points – drink 2022-2034 - The 2020 Riesling Ingle Vineyard 11 Rows comes in with two grams of residual sugar and 8.6 of total acidity, plus 13.3% alcohol. This is sourced from vines planted in 1989 on a half acre called the 11 Rows block. Deep and rather full-bodied for FLX styles, this has ample acidity, some surprising fruitiness around the edges and the same beautiful balance that most of the other offerings in this report have. Lush, tasty and structured, this is a winner. As I keep saying on this new set of wines, it remains to be seen how they will age. That is when they will give us a final answer and final proof, as fine Riesling does need to age well, hopefully justifying my enthusiasm. So far, so good. It is organically grown but not certified.

Planted in 1989 on the western side of the Finger Lakes at the Ingle Home Blocks with a slight southeast facing style 850' elevation.
