2012 Ingle Vineyard Chardonnay Oaked
This product can not be shipped to CA
An elegantly structured wine with layers of fruit, mineral and oak, this wine will continue to gain in complexity for the next few years.
Grapes are hand picked and whole bunch pressed to keep the integrity of the fruit and accentuate the terroir of Ingle Vineyard. Fermentation is started in steel then transferred to oak to finish and aged for 6 months “sur lie”, which allows for less oak extraction. Aromas of toasted walnuts, honey, caramel, and candied lemon zest. Vivid acidity at first, followed by a round middle palate with vanilla and coconut notes on the finish.
Barrel fermented & aged for 12 months
Ingle Vineyard, west side of Canandaigua Lake “Vern’s Block”
Food Pairing Notes
Try this wine alongside grilled cedar-plank salmon with rosemary and lemon slices, or pork chops with roasted pineapple. It also pair well with a selection of semi-hard cheese like Comté , Västerbotten, and Tomme de Savoie.
